I believe in creating long term relationships with my clients.I create an environment for continuous improvement thru goal based programs, these programs enhance motivation so you can obtain the type of golf game you deserve and avoid the mechanical and neurological pitfalls of the game. I provide many options including computer video analysis with V1/Dartfish, expert club fitting with Henry-Griffitts, personalized mental game coaching with GolfPsych, golf specific fitness programs and 3D kinetic link analysis with Zenolink. Thru skills testing I establish a base line then create a personalized program. A golfers personalized program is a combination of my different techniques I combine these techniques that many other professionals use separately, and I string them together in such a way that the combination works more powerfully than any of the separate techniques alone.
The better the teacher plays the game the more resources they have to draw from to teach.
I eliminate the biggest weakness first.
Fundamentals are the pillars to a consistent golf game. (hold, stance, posture & aim)
Ball Flight: When you change your fundamentals(hold, stance, posture & aim) it should have a direct effect on your ball flight, never change anything unless you know what effect it will have on your ball flight.
Golf Should be learned from the bottom up, master the short clubs first.
Anyone can get better at golf.
Great putters should be left alone.
Putting is about attention, it's not about stroke.
The word "Hit" applies to hands only.
Video is for matching, modeling.
Golf is played thru the eyes.
Golf is not purity of motion, figure skaters, gymnast and divers are all judged on purity of motion, there are no points for making perfect swings. It's about score not about how good you look.
The players who play the best are the ones who have the courage to play as if it doesn't matter.
The ability to turn one's attention inward and merely observe what is going on is the trademark of a champion.
Controlling one's emotions is as important as hitting great shots.
It's much more important to know where your club is than to know where it should be.
Golf instruction is more subtraction than addition.
Golf instruction is not error correction, it's learning new productive habits.
Practice is programming, playing is executing, you must not program as you play.
The only thing worse than a bad loser, is a bad winner.
A great coach has a knack for making golfers think they are better than they think they are.
Being patient is different from being weak, playing strategically does not mean giving less than all you have.
Without emotion bad shots will fade in memory, with emotion great shots will be highlighted for future use, this is the way to create the experience of a champion.
Good thinking creates good golf, bad thinking creates bad golf.
The key to improving your golf is to keep catching yourself doing things right.
The best golfers are the ones who get into harmony with the rhythm of the golf club.
Backswing - Body responds to arm swing. Downswing - Arms respond to body motion (This sequence occurs in all stick game athletics)
The left arm has a point of effective control. (arc)
The left wrist controls the club face.
The short game is a right side motion.
Follow thru is not important in the short game.
The short game requires elevation of the club head, it's a small muscle motion (hands)
In effective golf swings, the distance from the center of the chest to the club head stays consistent thru out the golf swing.
All great women players have upright golf swings, they cannot play around their bodies
The shorter a player is the further from the ball the must play.
the right hip and right elbow have relationship, they move together in the same direction.
The golf swing starts when the golf club changes direction at the top of the backswing.
Head down is bad advice.
Foundation in the lower body is crucial to a stable golf swing.
The players with the best short games all use hands, short games with the larger muscles lack feel, elevation and stop.
In Practice never hit more than 5 balls in a row with the same club. It makes practice more challenging and less ego fulfilling and much more productive.
